get a reptile heating pad, put it between a folded up towel, and place it under the setup. Keep adding more towels and t-shirts and stuff until you get the temp just right. I have to put like 8 layers of shirts for mine, but other set ups will vary. For my incubation chamber though, I just put a pillow between the heating pad and tub, and it stays 80 all the time. You might want to try that also. If that would'nt work, you could get one of those reptile sunlamps with the metal refelector, and put a regular 100 watt bulb in it. Just aim it at the growing chamber, and adjust the distance of the light to get the temp just right. I have not tried this way, but I have heard it works well. I hope this helps. KEG

Frank likes those oil filled heater deals that look like the old style hot water radiator heaters...nice even temps....

Have you tried the fish tank heater method?: http://www.fungifun.org/pf/incubator.htm

Best method (of the two I have tryed so far:) is a submersable fish tank heater in a jar of water. For it to work well you need to insulate your fruiting chamber. hear are some pics of my incubator. The same could be applyed to what you want to do.
^^^^fishtank heater in pasta jar^^^
^^^incubator^^^
^^^growing happy^^^
My temp stays at 82F constant but the heater can be adjusted down for fruiting. Oh, I got the heater at WalMart for $15 (50watt)
Hope this helps..

I currently do use fish tank heaters in individual settups but this is much larger. I dont want to have it insulated I have a climate control board I used to use on other things it will controll temp, humid and lights, co2 all I have to have is a microheating way that does not creat to much heat to fast and will be able to keep a even temp. A vaporizor or room heater are to much, maybee a heat lamp but the lights have to come of and that will cause a drop in temp. Tell me I have not thought of something, help me out ...

The fishtank heater way is the best way then. If you can spare the space, it should suit your needs quite well.
Tell the wife to stuff it, and to make you a goddamn sandwhich. What is she doing expressing her opinions to you like that? And who the hell let them vote, anyway?
