Just used acetone to clean a bowl

I bought some acetone to clean up the expanding foam I was using to winterize my apartment. I noticed that acetone seems to be the best solvent for just about... everything nonpolar. So I decided to try using it to clean my bubbler.
It worked fucking amazing. All the resin was dissolved within 30-45 seconds of shaking. Just be sure to vent the thing occasionally because acetone has a low boiling point and pressure will build up in the piece you are washing. Might wanna wear gloves too, my hands are retardedly dry.
Acetone for cleaning bowls = win. Haven't tried it with salt but I'd imagine it would work quite well.

I'd stick with alcohol myself. I know that acetone evaporates quickly, but still... it sounds a little dangerous...

How is it dangerous? Wear gloves and all danger is mitigated. It's SO much easier than isopropyl alcohol + salt.

I'm just not a big fan of acetone...
Why the salt? I've always found iso-propyl or ethyl alcohol to work fine for such tasks... (it might take a little longer and require a little more elbow grease, but...)

It's funny stuff, acetone. Evaporates very clean, and then breaks down; it's eco-friendly. But it smells weird and feels weird and it's flammable as all get-out.
Works great, though.

I'll have to try that next time. I usually let mine soak in alcohol or something overnight.
30-45 seconds sounds less annoying.

Yeah, I think those are my issues with it. It's just a personal thing...
Maybe my mom was scared by acetone while she was still carrying me...
