Cosmic Song
    #1131550 - 12/11/02 10:29 AM (21 years, 3 months ago)

Have anyone of you here the cosmic song. Its usually very high pitched, and it doesn't even sound like music, or vocals for that matter.

I wish i could describe it further but i can't!

I heard something like that once on shrooms. It sounded like other-wordly high pitch vocalizations. It turned out to be a distant train.

I dont think that its a cosmic song your hearing, its probably the blood rushing through your veins, or maybe the electrical impulses flashing between the nerve endings in your brain. Shrooming makes all kinds of things in your body audible that could otherwise be very difficult to hear. ( have you ever heard a cell divide?)

Thats actually close to my guess...

I definitely know what you mean by cosmic song. I thought it was similar to music the first couple times I heard it. I think someone called it "the song of life" once. Just go to a very dark and totally quiet place to hear it.

It may be due to a neural feedback loop of sorts (if that makes any sense). Or some sensory cross-over to the auditory cortex. Its apparently totally internal though. Or maybe its stuff that we normally filter out and never notice. The significant thing is that its definitely not random. It has a complex pattern.

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

Yes, I've heard very, very intricate and indescribibly complex high pitched songs while shrooming. Perhaps the inspiration for trance/techno music. Very awesome experience, I've only heard it once.

Make sure you turn off your computers, folks, as they can hide this effect from you.

You can hear anything on psychedelics, a cosmic song or the blood rushing through your veins. To me the cosmic song sounds like angels singing at such a high pitch, and feelings of bliss and love devour me.

Simon Posford imitates some of this phenomenon in LOTS of his music.

I usually hear what sounds like lazer beams and photon cannons shooting shooting around in my head.
