Which is Active & Which is not?

Which is the active copelandia cyanescens & which is inactive? Both were found on the same cow patty south of Houston. Is it 1 & 3? Is it 2 & 4?
All together on the patty!
Side by side!

If I knew that 2 out of those 4 were active I'd say #2 + #4, but I am sceptic as well. If they were Panaeolus cyanescens I'd expect a lot more bluing.

If I knew that only one of those mushrooms was without a doubt active, I would guess the second from the left side... But I can't tell if the bend in the stem is blue or just darker and shadowed. As GK said, I would expect more noticeable bluing of P. cyanescens.

whatever they are, they are from the pan/cope complex... they don't look like cope cyans to me, like the others said, would expect quite a bit more bluing... they get blue all over.
where you finding these? out here in hawaii, just about everything you find out in the cow pastures is either pan or cope, there are a few inactive Ps. Apparently anything growing off of cow poop out here is at least edible (not poisonous) and most are MILDLY active, and a few are HIGHLY active. Since pans/copes are so hard to differentiate from eachother (plus i have no good resource for doing such things... anyone? "mushrooms of hawaii" isn't very comprehensive...), whenever i've gone picking, i usually keep the cope cyans seperate from the others (they turn really obviously blue) and then just collect a big bag of the others. If you make up a batch of tea with them, just throw a couple large handfuls into a small pot of water, you will definitely feel the effects...
