You didn't have a high enough agar/water ratio. How many grams of each agar did you add to what volume of water?

> but i couldn't pc until a few days later.

You mean you mixed the preprepared agar and water, and then left it sitting for a few days?

That?s bad, bad....
Start anew.

What you did was let a nourishing solution(agar agar, sugar(glucose, maltose) and yeast extract and water sit at room temperature.
I?m sure you got all sorts of nasty contaminats growing in the solution if you let it stand at room temperature for a few days....

You can let agar sit for a long time, but only if it?s sterilized before.

Ok, i see that having an unsterilized highly nutrious mix sitting in room temp. for a couple of days cause contams..but do not sterilizing it cause that it?s not solidyifing when it is PC?d later on?
IE are the solydifing properties lost?
peace...

agar has likely been digested by some bacteria, my guess.

Could of been contaminated by a bacteria and it byproduct could of increased the acidity of the agar which would stop it from solidifying.
