excessive incorrect spelling
    #10869334 - 08/16/09 09:36 AM (14 years, 7 months ago)

I was on another  forum the other day, and this one member had 5 spelling mistakes in the only two sentences that he posted......

lol....

I let it go the first time, and then see him post something else in another thread, full of  mistakes.

I go, "you really need to learn how to spell man"

and some other member says "Take your own advice. Don't be a grammar nazi."

First of all, how the F do I take my own advice when I had no spelling errors, and two; I wasn't being a grammar nazi--it was hurting my eyes!

I'm not talking about one or two errors, but 4 and more different errors....does this bug anyone else?

When I was younger (14 or so) that shit would bother me to no end. I would literally go through posts and correct them thoroughly. How you type shows your intelligence. Furthermore if you can get in the habit of typing correctly and having correct grammar it will help you out in the long run.

not too bad.

also when you said, "you should learn how to spell man", there should have been a comma between "spell" and "man".

oh, there was actually. I just woke up 20 min ago, and forgot the comma. Maybe he was referring to my uncapitalized Y?

If spelling correctly shows one's intelligence.

Does that mean Coaster is a fucking idiot?

I am with you 100%. I have been called a grammar Nazi before.I am in school now and it is in a rural town. The teachers will mispronounce the words! For example;they will say  LARNYX instead of LARYNX,the teachers do this! WTF!:confused:I had to go to dictionary .com to let this one girl hear how to say it correctly because she argued with me on how to say it! She said "all through school all my teachers said it that way." WTF!!:foreheadslap:  :foreheadslap:
I go around correcting people all the time here because they have bad country accents and mispronounce words,I think if you are going to be involved with teaching, and especially the medical field, you should speak and spell correctly.English has always been my strongest subject.I was reading my sisters high school textbooks before kindergarten.

So very true.I agree with this also 100%.

i think "floridamushroom" is the one who misspells so much that it actually pisses me off. First off it's because it's almost impossible to read most of the time. So i think grammar is only a problem if people can't read it.:strokebeard:

i know 2 autistic dudes, and yeah they couldn't do dishes if they tried.
what i don't like tho is that schools treat it like some retardation, and give them simple shit and hardly educate them.

From an editing standpoint this post is full of simple mistakes. It can be annoying to an extent but I think it may be some sort of complex if it bothers you that badly.
