Incorporating mushrooms into your day
    #10640748 - 07/08/09 09:11 AM (14 years, 8 months ago)

Many people like to remove the mushrooms from reality. Many people like to push them far away with weeks of advance planning, pick the perfect spot and so fourth.

Why not incorporate mushrooms into being a part of your day?
First of all, and Ill emphasize this Im not saying have a full level 5 trip every morning with your coffee!

Nor am I saying to do this everyday!!!

Just once, maybe twice, a week; have a cup of tea and do some yoga, perhaps some sword dancing or thai chi. Maybe a bike ride or hike, followed by some meditation or yoga. About a lvl1-2 trip is ideal for this, and no matter what you'll find yourself saying "I really shouldnt have eaten those mushrooms" in the first 15 minutes, BUT!!!! Give it some time!

You'll find it will give you a refreshingly positive outlook througout the rest of your day.

Everything really is better with mushrooms.

:peace:

My mind and my body NEED some rest after tripping. Also, I need the clarity and reality that comes after tripping, just so I can sort things out in my head.

So for me, doing it on a regular basis is not good. I couldn't handle it, that's all.

Yeah, mushrooms are pretty debilitating to me, even in relatively low doses. I could do this with LSD, though. Not sure I'd want to.

I had about .5 or something this morning and was satisfied with the results.

For a while I heald LSD in a higher regard than mushrooms, but this morning for some reason helped me to love mushrooms and to love myself. I think in a way mushrooms can prove to be much more enlightening.

They can be quite overwhelming at first. Usually after the "death" everything gets better. Once you succumb to the symbolic death and shed yourself you realize your own beauty, the beauty of all things and you are able to be impeccable rather than debilitated.

MM, is this something you do yourself? do you find you have the 'glow' with you all week? that would be very positive

The symbolic death and yoga are something I do by myself. I often like to go on a bike ride or a hike too where I see other people. It is a very personal thing which helps me to get out of myself and see others as myself.

Your welcome, had it not been for the death I would not have been able to be so honest! That is what you take with you all week.

I dont like to use the G word on here, but the yoga is like my personal communion with god. It is between myself and god yet without myself. I shed myself to meet god alone. As I shed myself I go through the symbolic death. It is just the perciever and god, self is taken out of the equation. In taking self out of the equation I realize I am facing myself and I am god. The realization that we are god is a powerful thing! It truely is a glow that will follow you throughout the rest of the day.

Come on now, you don't need to preach at me about how to do mushrooms. I know. Mushroom's effects on me simply don't lend themselves to daily activities. Mushrooms make me lethargic and couch-locked and in the wrong setting anxious and paranoid.  It's just how it is.

That is why I dont advocate it as a daily thing. I advocate it once a week, perhaps twice. Tolerance goes away in a week.

Sorry I do not mean to preach, and please forgive me as I am feeling them.

It's just that i once felt the same way. I found that mushrooms made me USELESS. I could not speak to people, couldnt talk to people, couldnt walk, couldnt DO anything. It did this to me on 80 grams and .5 grams JUST THE SAME. It wasnt like that the first time I did mushrooms, but only after years of doing them.
It was this way for YEARS!!! I reached a transcendentalists dilemma of if all actions have negative results; why act at all? It was only when I dropped the act and really got honest with myself that I was able to "get up". Ill still get couchlocked on some trips, and that is the symbolic death; that is the part where you are in the grave, when you are twitching, pissing yourself and writhing in agony.

Today The anxiety and the paranoia drove me to get off my bike. The anxiety and paranoia drove me to hide from society. The anxiety and paranoia drove me to go home. After the death, and it was GRUESOME, the anxiety and paranoia subsided.

When I finally faced my fears I learned they were nothing that warranted anything other than laughter.

I love you brother.

What it all comes down to though is yes, set and setting are ESSENTIAL for the death part of the trip, before you come out on the otherside. They are very personal and to be done alone.

Go through death alone and meet others on the otherside.
Go through death with others and be alone on the otherside.
