 Am I the only one who likes the studio version of songs more than live?

Yes I know, blasphemy and all that...but seriously...I notice that I really enjoy the studio versions of songs versus live versions. I'm almost always disappointed by the live version, whether the music overwhelms the singing, vice-versa, the notes don't come out right, external crowd sounds, etc.
Am I the only one here who is like this?

studio is far better b/c they use all the digital effects
most ppl dont even perform live anymore they just lip sink

Depends on the song, but I for the most part agree, studio often sounds better

I think it all depends on what song youre listening to. There are some songs by the dead that i like better live and vice versa. Some bands, like phish i like studio better, and lke umphreys i like live way better. so it all depends

I tend not to like live stuff, Friday Night in San Francisco and a few others are exceptions of course.

studio can usually provide much more ambience because of the sound scapes. but I find concerts to me a much more interesting experience depending on the band.
Certain bands know how to pull off the live thing- like Animal Collective! but I've seen bands that left me wondering why I didn't just stay home and listen to the album- where I at least can hit my bong 
really depends on the artist though

They record music in studios for a reason...to make the music sound exactly the way the artist/band wants it to sound.
They play music live at concerts for a reason...so the fans can rock out to those songs while being played live by their favorite band.

i prefer studio most of the time, but every once and a while ill go see a live show and it will blow my ass away and i feel like im in the music. it depends on a lot of things.

I use to like live more, but since I started listening to the Dead, live music is so much better, assuming it's good quality. Actually I don't really listen to any of the Dead's studio stuff at all. Soundboards FTW
Techno and other electronic music I prefer the cleaner studio sound so I can crank it up.

"Tiesto in Concert" in holland is an amazing live album. It's opening(adagio for strings) is the best version of that track imo. So amazing. It sends chills through my body every time I listen. The MC was great.

The grateful Dead's stuff were definitely the first tracks that warmed me up to live recordings. The atmosphere is great.

i believe it depends on the band. for instance there is a local band here call the Clarks that have played the bar scene for 2 decades. There is something missing in their studio albums as opposed to seeing them live or even to their live albums. I think a band like that perfects their sound for that type of venue, and not for perfect studio sound or radio friendly engineering.

Definitely depends on the band/artist. Some sound better and thrive in a live setting.
If a band can't at least play their songs decently live, they usually aren't worth my time.

If I'm drinking or something it's all fair game but for car rides and general listening I definitely prefer studio albums.
