LED Lighting, 6500k or 7500k?
    #10513142 - 06/15/09 08:11 PM (14 years, 9 months ago)

I'm gonna purchase some LED rope lights and found both 6500k and 7500k. Is 7500 too much?

A candlelight would technically work. Light is used by mushrooms to indicate when to fruit and which direction to fruit toward.

Thanks for the reply but I'm not asking why or what shrooms use light for. I'm asking if 7500k is too high. Don't mean to sound like a dick but your reply didn't have much of anything to do with my post.

Just trying to help out

As long as it doesn't get too hot in the growing chamber, either should work just the same.

No not by any means. If it was I.I would go with a 6500k. It resembles the suns spectrum closest.

6500K and mushrooms don't just use light to know when to pin or which way is up.  And, a candle wouldn't work worth a shit any more than incandescent light bulbs work worth a shit.  Very bright, high frequency light is perfect.  LED technology has come a long way.
