Habitat:
Found in fairly new lawn in new development area, eastern Washington, in partial shade

Gills:
dark brown, almost black, almost looks a little dusty as well if that makes sense.

Stem:
around 2.5 inches in length, around 1/8th of an inch in diameter, light brown, hollow, thin

Cap:
Around an inch in diameter (Almost the same size as a US quarter), light brown in color

Spore print color:
Black, as shown in pictures.

Bruising:
No blue bruising, even near the bottom of the stem. If I were to bruise the stem it would be a wet brownish color

Other information:
The picture I took with all of the mushrooms I found today was taken shortly after picking along the same stretch of road about an hour before sunset(7:30 PM) The close up pictures of the individual mushroom were taken 3 hours after.
I tried to take the pictures so the color in the photos is as close to the color it actually looks like.
The grass I found them in is at most 2 years old I know for sure.
This is my first post and I tried to get all the details I could but I'm also very new at this so sorry if I missed something important.
If theres anything else I should add, I can deffinatly do that, including additional photos.

Thank you

Despite the lack of blue bruising, that still looks like Pan cinctulus in my book, but I am not a Pan expert, so someone else might want to chime in.

Stipe seems a bit thin for Subbs, but what the hell do I know.

Dung subbs have a thick stipe but lawn subbs often have a thin stem like this.

Pan cinctulus will usually not bruise blue, if they do bruise blue they will usually only bruise at the base of the stipe, or sometimes the caps.

Out of the hundreds I saw the other day only two bruised blue.

This photo shows all of the spore prints taken overnight of the mushrooms, I put all the caps next to where they came from. All of the prints look the same color, black.

Here is a picture of the mostly dried cap of the mushroom I took photos of in my original post. The dried gills of this and the other mushrooms have turned very dark brown to black in color.

This is a close up of a sporeprint of the mushroom that is the third from the left on the top in the picture with all of the mushrooms

would it be safe to assume that they were all subbs? Being that they were all found along the same strip of grass

Also are there any look-alikes to these that would cause problems or make me sick?

As long as they have a jet black spore print you'll be fine. Nothing with a black spore print is poisonous.

looks like a jet black spore print, if it is then they are safe to consume. Looks like subbs to me... have fun :mushroom2:

sometimes i take a black sharpe and put it next to the print to make sure my eyes are not playing games on me.

Did the caps get a slight olive color to them after they dried?

I believe olivaceus is more common in Washington than cinctulus.

if anything they stayed the brownish color they started at, they mainly changed texture to a scaley rough texture
