Check it out tomorrow night, Monday May 25th, on the History Channel on the latest 47 million year old lemur fossil find. Should be interesting.

I watched a show on that last week! This "cat" is supposed to prove that we evolved from primates. It is the oldest intact primate skeleton ever found.

Humans are primates. Did they say a particular primate from which humans might have evolved?

Didn't they just find this thing? And there's already a show on this?
So this is supposed to be the strong evidence for descent from common primate ancestor?

I'm disappointed that the History Channel is actually advertising this as the FINAL PIECE OF THE HUMAN EVOLUTION PUZZLE which it definitely isn't, and so prematurely before scientists have a real chance to analyze it thoroughly. I'm not going to watch it, I'd rather pay attention to something less sensationalized for TV.

so you are gonna keep yourself disinformed on purpose to defend the links still (possibly) missing?

There is no "the link"
Yep.
But I predict yet more people will quote some lay publication or cable show and use that quote to claim evolution is a fraud or soemthing.
It gets tiring seeing people use the entertainment media as a proxy for science when they hae a beef with the later but have no idea what to base it on.
How many conversations have had someone claiming "science says....." only to find the claim entirely premised off some quote in newsweek or time magazine and used ostensibly to claim a theory well supported by evidence must be wrong, or that the arrogance of scientists informs the foolishness of scholarly conclusions (or even an entire theory's basis)?
(I'm not saying anyone in this thread did what I'm discussing, its just tiring to see these tactics repeated over and over again as if what some lay media source declares or what some scientist says in an interview trumps evidence and well founded conclusions- and I bet it will happen again shortly)

You fail at reading TV Guide...been on multiple times tonight, just as Orgone said.
In relation to this program, yawn...science desperately trying to make links where they don't exist.

I guess that's what makes it so terrible.
