Refrigeration to stunt growth Q

Due to a family emergency, I won't be able to watch my newly-birthed PF cakes for a period of about 4 days this upcoming weekend. I have all of my cakes (only 3) in the FC already. The longest one has been in for about 4 days and has a good bit of pinning, the longest being about 2cm long but quite thick (they're penis envy :smile:

). On the other cake (in FC for about 3 days), the longest pin in about 4cm long. The third cake, also in FC for 3 days, has very little "fuzz" and no pinning as of yet.

Would placing the two cakes with pinning/small fruit in the refrigerator to stunt growth significantly diminish my first flush or the overall health of the cake?
The third cake which has little growth, is it safe to put that one in the refrigerator as well?

If it comes down to it, I could tote them in the trunk of my car, but I have no way of drying the fruit. Although, maybe the fruit won't develop before this weekend?
