Oh My God for the past couple weeks my allergies have been raping me senseless let me explain first i start off with a runny nose this runny nose causes congestion mucus build up coughing all the good stuff i have to take mucus relievers to hack up all the gross shit in my system constantly blow my nose flush my sinuses and just be miserable 24 hours a day sunday the mucus and congestion are gone. yaaaaaaayyyyy!!!!!! not nose is still running (but just enough to piss me off) perfectly fine with the exception of the latter and this DAMN CURSED TICKLE IN THE BACK OF MY THROAT it causes me to cough ridiculously whenever i am not breathing yes that means cough cough... cough cough cough... breathe...cough "yea im ok" cough breathe sometimes the coughing pushes the breathing out of the way (not good) it keeps me up all night (on the nights my erratic insomnia doesnt kick in) and this happens usually twice a year generally sometime between the beginning of fall and winter and around spring i think this might kill me when im older. scary thought i need help

You are probably allergic to trees (spring) and ragweed (fall).
I've got those two...plus an allergy to grass (summer) and house dust (winter). So I've got the whole year covered :smirk

I have the WORST allergies I have EVER had my entire life. Since birth I had allergies, had tubes put in the ears, adenoids taken out, tonsils taken out, put on countless medications blah blah blah. So I thought I went trough the worst as a child.. I'm wrong! Its been horrific in the past but This year is the worst!Abnormally worse... People who have never had a problem with allergies are getting them. I got a bloody nose for the second time in my life! I feel mentally drained more because of this too.My brain feels like its being crushed from sinus pressure! So what the hell is going on here? What the hell are they spraying in the air?!?

I on't think they have to spray anything in the air
There is just a lot of pollen floating around right now! All of the trees are pollinating right about now.
Allergies can and do get worse, sometimes temporarily and sometimes permanently. Hope you just have the temporary kind

I sure hope they are spraying anything Considering I had allergies since I was coughing up a lung in the womb, I'm guessing its permanent

I have very good experiences with the antiallergic drug Cetirizine and from my personal experiences can recommend it.
10mg cetirizine once a day keeps the allergies away, and has done so for the most part for years on end.
Cetirizine hydrochloride (pronounced /sɛˈtɪrɨziːn/), an antihistamine, is a major metabolite of hydroxyzine, and a racemic selective H1 receptor inverse agonist used in the treatment of allergies, hay fever, angioedema, and urticaria. The structural similarity of cetirizine to hydroxyzine, and its derivation from piperazine, attribute similar adverse reactions and properties to other piperazine derivatives.[citation needed]
Formerly prescription-only in the US and Canada, cetirizine is now available over the counter in both countries as Zyrtec and Reactine respectively. Zyrtec was the top new non-food product of 2008 in the US, generating the sales of $315.9 million.[1] In Australia Zyrtec is available over the counter in pharmacies and in the UK cetirizine can be sold in any outlet and is often available in supermarkets.
Pharmacology
Cetirizine crosses the blood-brain barrier only slightly, eliminating the sedative side-effect common with older antihistamines; however it still causes mild drowsiness.[2] It has also been shown to inhibit eosinophil chemotaxis and LTB4 release. At a dosage of 20 mg, twice the recommended dose, Boone et. el found that it inhibited the expression of VCAM-1 in patients with atopic dermatitis.[1]

Cetirizine has been non-prescription here in Canada as long as I can remember! I've been taking it nearly every day now for the past 7-8 years, and it still works great!!
During my really hard times of the year (now and in fall) I'll take 2 10mg pills each day, one at night and one in the morning.
Cetirizine

For anyone in Canada who wants to buy Cetirizine....
Everywhere I've found actual name brand Reactine it costs about $15 for 30 pills. You might be able to find a generic brand for $10 for 30.
However, I've found it at No-Frills under the brand name "Exact". There you'll only pay $17.99 for 72 pills!!! That's enough for about a month during my hard times, and over two months during my easy times!

Recently I've been switched from 10mg Cetirizine to 5mg Levocetirizine.
Just as good, no side effects on either, but because I have medical insurance the levodrug is covered and the DL one is not. Yay free allergy pills!
