Pann-demic!? ID plz
    #10317705 - 05/10/09 04:03 PM (14 years, 10 months ago)

Found these in a backyard in east coast peidmont, healthy grass and a little shady; not a cow pasture. i think their some sort of pann but not sure. the print looks pretty black although its not a good one, i set up some of the same to print so ill get a double check. the others were found in the same area but i dont have any idea what they are.  The panns smell like really fresh mycellum but i dont see any bluing. It would be cool if theyre active but i dont really plan on eating them either way.  I can get more pics if needed.

Thanks again!

Those are Panaeolina foenisecii, not Panaeolus cinctulus(=P. subbalteatus).

The seconds ones are Clitocybe, maybe one of the deadly species like C. dealbata.

Panaeolina foenisecii, aka "Foes" are inactive and have dark brown spores.

Panaeolus cinctulus, previously P. subbalteatus, aka "Subbs" are active and have jet black spores.
