are you supposed to pack the mixture down one it's made. Other wise I think you end up with extra substrate. i.e. 2/3 cup verm 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup flour is too much to fit in a half pint without packing  :confused:

Packing it will just result in longer colonization times. And yes, you will hve leftover using that formula, it's just a good ratio to use. Or cut it down to 1/2 cup verm for an even better ratio.

the substrate needs to be a little airy, so that the mycelium can grow in it easily. i am from Greece and i know nothing about "pints" :smile: lol i say, dont pack it

No, just mix it up in the mixing bowl, and spoon it in, don't pack it, thats bad, mmmkay?
