 Peruvian Torch question

Hey ethnofanatics, I'm gonna try my hand at something other than growing shrooms and I think I'm gonna start with a cactus. I rode my bike to a nursery today and found exactly what I'm looking for (I think), just much too large.
And a possible ID?
Is this a normal price for something this large?
They are really healthy looking plants (to my knowledge) but two hundred bucks is out of my price range. Is it worth it to save up some and drop it on a plant like this? How long would it take to grow a plant like this from a cutting or seed?

I'm not even talking about that. No one should be purchasing T. Peruvianus for tripping anyways, it's not very consistent as far as potency. Bridgesii is the most likely candidate for tripping. But, many such as myself collect Trichocereus for their beauty and rarity. At first I was all about tripping on them, but then they kinda grew on me and I just can't bring myself to chop down my accomplishment right now.
