 my room mate's in jail

|
my roommate got arrested last night with a little less than a pound. he is being charged with possession with intent to distribute-marijuana(Felony).
his residence is listed at this address. should i get rid of all my paraphanalia or am i just being paranoid?

i dunno. as of this morning, no bond has been set. he just got off probation on monday, but he wasn't charged with violating probation so i think he'll still get bond set, his lawyer told me that felonies often take longer to set bail on than misdemeanors. anything over an ounce is a felony, so state laws dont matter, but there is no mandatory minimum prison sentence for the amount he was caught with.
if he does any time, it will be in jail, not prison, and i think itll be less than 6 months. he has good lawyers though, and he might be able to get some hefty fines and probation again. but im no law scholar, im just guessing.
he's been watched before, and he was arrested once in his own apartment for having empty bags and a scale. the cops that took him in said they found a half gram of weed behind the toilet, but my roommate says he never saw it and when he asked to see it, they wouldn't show it to him.
its a long story and i gotta go to work, but ill update later.

first of all.
They need a warrant to be capable to enter your apartment, to get this warrant they need to have him on the lease. If his name doesn't show on the lease (only yours) they cannot get a warrant to search those promises.
on the other hand, if his name is on the lease. GET YOUR SHIT OUT ~~~~~

I thought everyone has scales, they're like $50 and give your piece of mind about what weight you're getting.
Empty bags? Every smokers house has 100's sitting somewhere.

Well I personally know of dozens of cases in Australia of people actually selling all day/everyday getting raided, they never got jail... seems strange.
I've been caught with bud redhanded, twice, haven't even got a conviction yet, god bless drug diversion  The last drug diversion session the psychologist actually agreed with me smoking and shook her head at the police illegaling abusing there powers to bust me for 2g.
I don't think the drug squads over here are stupid, they know precisely who's dealing and I don't think they would pin a trafficking charge on a user.

nah, I have been to the penitentiary twice.
its a terribly sad thing to see grown men crying, doing different degrees of a dea man's shuffle to and from the chow hall.
People eat LSD, me for one and you know whats fucked, if you can't cook the shit yourself, some one has to be willing to face life so you can trip. then people wanna call them dumb asses and hate on criminals. Fuck that. I got friends serving years in the pen right now for many different reasons, some accidental car slaughterings. Anybody who thinks prison or jail is a place that should be bandied about flippantly makes me angry.
Fuck the law makers who wanna imprison people for pounds a weed and fuck the idiots who endo0rse that mentality.
it ain't about me, its about the those razor wires and the life that awaits those who ride that bluebird into those haunted halls.
I just got out less than a month ago, so its still fresh. Prison shouldn't exist but for the most hardened of violent criminals, the ones who deserve death and are only awaiting execution like child molesters and rapists and malicious murderers. those who perpetrate non consentual crimes.
but it is probably something you could never understand.
