Reson by propeller heads is the shit, its complete hardware thats software synthesized. i use acid, fruity, sound forge, and reason amoung others. reason isnt that big but u have to get the sound library which is big, that is if u plan on downloading it.
ps- acid rules for a cappela
i like fruity, have u really learned how to use it or u just dont like it er what? can we post some tunes?

What exactly sucked ass about fruityloops? I thought it sucked too until I spent a little time with it...
If your acapellas aren't matching you might need to cut some space off of the beginning or the end of the wav files....you can do that with Soundforge.

I usually download the song that I have the acapella from and cut a loop out of it so I can get a good tempo measurement. Sometimes if my track isn't matching up with the vocal track I'll pull the original song in and layer it with mine to see where the timing went off or to figure out what's going wrong. I like using Acid when I'm working with acapellas because you can zoom into the actual waveform and see the sound your working with and it's real easy to slide stuff around...
also sometimes I'll cut the vocal track up into phrases or verses or whatever so I can just keep it all in time bit by bit. So like if the vocal sounds good for a while but then slowly starts to slip out of time I can just adjust it where it is starting to slip and everything pulls back together...

If you didn't like Fruityloops then you might not like Reason. I think the problem your having is syncing vocals to to your beats? and good audio editing untillity that allows for time streching will work.. I use soundforge for sample editing, and fruityloops for making loops and syncing my MIDI hardware.

I use reason 2.0, and love it. It has great sound quality, and lots of flexibility. It is more complicated than fruity loops, but once you learn how to use it, it is awesome.

I like the Magix Music Maker series of programs... Theyre pretty kick ass... As for Fruity Loops, get Fruity Studio, you can do everything if you use the two programs together..
