PF Cakes Correct?
    #10026089 - 03/23/09 12:54 PM (15 years, 9 days ago)

Hi, i've knocked my PF cakes out, cold shocked them in a bowl of water and placed them in my terrarium, instead of pinheads growing it seems the mycellum is continueing to grow! They are covered in a white-fur, is this correct?

Thanks for any help.

Yes, that can happen. Increase your FAE.
You don't cold shock cubensis cakes. That information is outdated. They are a tropical species and don't benefit from cold shocking.

You must be reading some really old/bad info if you cold shocked a tropical species.  I'd suggest following the brf tek on your next grow and for the rest of this one.  Just fyi, mushrooms don't have a veg/fruiting stage like pot. Mushrooms are 100% composed of mycelium, so that's what you should be seeing.

The link above will give you text and videos that show the whole process from start to finish.
