so a friend of mine brought me these mushrooms he told me they were grown by a friend but he didn't know what they were or if they were even any good
He gave them to me dry so I wasn't able to do a spore print
at first I thought they almost looked like cyanescens of some sort but now im not to sure if they're even anything I want to consider eating.

You might have to do a little better than a cellphone picture. I do see some bluing, but that's not a sure sign of hallucinogens.
Perhaps somebody else can give it a try, but the pictures are too small!
Don't eat them just yet... There is NO CURE for mushroom poisoning.

The friend who gave them to me said he ate them and had a nice time he didnt eat too much he said maybe 2 grams.
but I wonder if it was just some placebo effect or something odd
The caps are dark in the center with a little nipple like bump they fade to gold and then to tan on the bigger caps
the stems do have some slight bluing
but some of the caps look like they have a different texture and are very dark/slightly tan
hopefully that helps a little more

Take closer pictures. Pictures of the gills too...
I'm sure somebody here can ID them... Just a matter of time.
They might be too dry to get a 100% ID though.

In the first image the caps on top and bottom and the stems to the left are Psilocybe cubensis. The one in the middle (also the one in the middle in the second image) looks suspicious to me. It may just be a stretched specimen (which happens often), but I can't see it well enough to be sure.

They are all Psilocybe cubensis. I grow them myself. You can eat those. They will make you trip.

a majority of the caps have dark brown gills yet some have dark brown that fade to tan or the other way around.
I've had 4 people try them and say they were fine and that they caused a good trip.
but then 1 person ate around an 3.3 grams and said he started to feel them very slightly, and then after a few hours he said he got really light headed and almost passed out... and that doesnt sound good at all but he insists its just that he was tired from walking around all day.
Any extra info I can give that might help identify them?
Could they be hallucinogenic but maybe were grown wrong or some how were contaminated and thats why he felt light headed? I'm eager to eat them and have fun, but the thought of dying doesn't sound like a good risk to take.
I've only picked the wavy capped cyanescens that grow in wooded areas so I'm really not an expert on different varieties.

The one you arent too sure about looks exactly like the ones you said were cubensis just smaller.

A lot of things can make someone "light headed". For instance, did he eat anything earlier that day (before he ate the shroom)? If he didn't eat all day, with the exertion from walking all day, he could have gotten light headed from low blood sugar.

I trust German Kahuna's ID though. He's a great all-around fungi buff.
