Anyone know about Techno/Trance?

Tripping tomorrow night after I Get back from partying... I was looking at my playlist and it's the same list I always listen to... good shit, but I wanted to maybe segment something else in for about 20-30 minutes...
I was listening to the techno stuff my sister downloaded on my computer for her ipod and I could actually see myself listening to some of that while I Was tripping.
I know absolutely nothing about techno or the techno music scene, so if anyone can recommend any good tripping music, that would be awesome.
I don't like the real hard jungle/trance, or shit like 'infected mushroom' but more of the I Guess you would call it ambient techno/trance.
couple She has on here I liked...
Dj Mystic "Eurodance Rave" Ambient Trance EuroHouse Techno- Electronic Dance mix
I really like the ones with happy, uplifting, almost dreamy, but good pace and Female vocalists in the background is a plus...
If you know of anything like that throw it my way.

And, by far the best female DJ/Producer/vocals is Dj Colette.

World Hold on - by bob sinclair But seriously check out Thievery Corporation if you haven't. The album Cosmic Game is epic. They aren't techno really tho, I think it's defined as "downtempo" but who really knows genres any more

Download Chicane Live at the Palladium HERE. It is towards the bottom of the page. The link is from TranceAddict and they have more sets for download. That particular set is considered to be a "classic" and it is one of the first I ever heard thanks to 40oz. It is a live set meaning they are actually playing the the music live on keyboards and synths as opposed to just mixing records.
If you can download torrents or p2p I also suggest DJ Tiesto In Search Of Sunrise 1 or 2. They are both more mellow trance with some female vocals.
Paul Oakenfold Essential Mix @ Space in Ibiza 1999 is also considered a must listen along with any Essential Mix he did that year (Gatecrasher, Shanghai, Amnesia).
Hope this is what you were looking for!

By far my favorite. Not sure if that is what he had in mind. I suggest Lory D. Sounds Never Seen is a pretty short and solid album.

I downloaded Chicane based off of suggestions from the Shroomery. It wasn't my cup of tea. My brother loves it, though. It has a good trance-like sound. But I don't like that type of sound. I was expecting a more timeless and innocent nostalgic feel. So far, I only get that from Boards of Canada.
