 1st attempt...slowly but surely?

Hello all, this is my first time posting and first time growing. It's been 9 days since i dunked and rolled and my "friends" (as I call them) It seems they are taking their sweet time to do anything. I have them in a shotgun terrarium with 3" perlite, misting and airing 3X daily. Can anyone give some advice on how they're looking? There's a small greenish bruise on this one from when I was removing it from the jar.
I haven't seen a single pin yet. They were inoculated back on 2/9. I kind of expected faster growth. Oh, they're pc Cambodians, in case that's helpful.

I dunked my first batch of cakes about a week ago also. They look to be about the same stage as yours, looks like there's some primordial growth. I bet you should be seeing pins within a week. Stay the course!

Also, the discoloration looks like some normal bruising. I can't see it all too clearly, but it appears benign.

They look fine so far. Make sure that vRH is at 100% or near that.
Misting daily, 2-3x and always fan. FAE is very important at this stage.

yah, that's been there since right after I birthed them and hasn't grown. This one cake got stuck in the jar on the way out. Had call in for forceps, STAT!

It should be ok than. Just make sure that your RH is 100%. If not the mushrooms will be blue on the bottom and have cracked caps.

Thanks! I expected them to plump up after the dunk n roll. they stayed pretty much the same size. Poly, keep me posted on your friends...lemme know how long it took from birthing to harvest.

Definitely, I will keep ya up to date. If I can manage to get a couple pics I'll post them on this thread. I have 12 1/2 pint cakes set up in a vented mini-greenhouse.

They're lookin good. Discoloration sounds like bruising, relax.

Awesome dude. I'm still waiting on any evidence of pinning, but hopefully I will see some soon. Btw, my cakes have large bulbs of mycelium growing all over the surface near the top; they are too large to be primordia, and they keep growing larger by the day. If anyone has experienced this before: will they form pins at any point soon, or how long will they continue to grow?

The strain is Transkei (at least that's what i ordered).
Black is just millions of spores, just wish i was confident enough to make my own syringes. I would have grew more!
On that first photo i posted, there were 112 shrooms (not including aborts) weighing 48.7g, from the cake on the left and 42 shrooms (not including aborts) weighing 38.2g.
Their brothers and sisters are next....
As you can see the spores got everywhere when i was taking the cakes out.

I'm proud to announce that I've found my first pins! Three of them, to be exact, all in one small cluster. So, that's about 9 days from birthing to the first appearance of pins. I'm Stoked
