Is it possible to steraloze this tek sans pressure cooker?

This is perfect for my bulk grow! Thanks! I think I'll look into turkey bags or something if I can't find the bags. I'm runnin through walle world today. I was gonna do a straw substrate deal, but this looks simpler haha. I'm curios to know How others incorperated this tek into their grows. And your fruiting method. Great job man, really helped me out, more than you know.

So after this is full of mycelium, can I just take chunks of it and put it into a regular vermiculite based fruiting chamber?

Thanks for the wonderful steps of this tek. I'm going to use this instead of doing the whole jar process (which is SUCH a pain in the ass). I appreciate your time to lay it all out for people who don't quite understand, and the pictures, a absolute plus. Thank you very much.

Thanks for this great tek. Not only do you explain how to do things, but you explain why you're doing it. My question is what to do with the WBS after it's been colonized. Do you leave it in a cake and fruit straight off the cake or do you use the WBS spawn to inoculate bulk substrate?

You say that you seal the bag and tape over the inoculation hole. Does this mean that the mycelium does not need to breathe? Are rye/rice teks over-emphasizing the need for breather holes or is it just not necessary for WBS?

this is a great guide but i have a question, can you inoculate the bags with a pf-tek jar? and if yes how?

djcorus86  watch a pf tek guide like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHJQrsZFQdE and check out all the parts of it, its good to know and it will answer your question

I was just wondering... what do you do after they colonize? Do you just leave them in a bag or do you actually put them in some soil?
Posted by antimatt3r (07/16/08 05:03 PM)
shouldnt you simmer the wbs to achieve the proper water content?
how long does one of these take to colonize?

Dear friend, first of all i want to thank this post it has been a lot of help. I'm writing you from santiago, Chile.
I have some simple questions.

Does Myco-Tek need an incubator for colonizing?
can I use any kind of spores?
Do I need to put something beneath the pot and the bags at the moment of sterilizing?
This kind of myco-bags are too difficult to find in chile.
do you know any other name for this type of bags?

No you can not use brown rice, it will not work as it becomes mush.

Can you use brown rice instead of Wild bird seed for this method?
Posted by Cyber (02/27/08 06:55 AM)
Yes you can do it in jars as well.

this same birdseed would work in glass

 as well?
