I use above technique then store in Mason Jar/air tight container then store in my backpack. It's important to store them in a dark, dry place. I use the Capri Sun method, found it the easiest.

One easy way to remove air from the ziplock bag is, slide a drinking straw down near the bottom of the bag and snug up the ziplock right next to it.  Next suck the air out until the bag collapses completely, and gripping the straw with your teeth pull it out of the bag while at the same time finishing the seal.  This is sort of the redneck vacuum seal technique, and it works great with garden veggies - should also work for this purpose.

i have a mushroom that i have kept in a sealed jar for over a year i haven't seen any signs of mold. i have also heared a rumor that if you keep mushrooms for extended periods of time the potentcy increases. any feed back??
