I have developed a very simple and extremely efficient adaptation to this procedure.
This is thanks to reading a compendium of Roger Rabbit's posts.
There is no need for all the plumbing. I set it up and had it running in about an hour.

First...I know this thread is a few years old...now I am currently amping up my current production from about an ounce a week with the pf method to the big time and am purchasing a martha method setup.  What I was wondering is actually a stupid question...did your hose have to be parallel or should the reservoir chamber hose meet the top of the water line in the humidifier.

I'm curious what type of cool mist humidifier you purchased.  Specifically the brand and model because I tried this technique, and unless your water chamber is air tight than water will leak out of the unit.  This occured in two different units I tried.
