Hi guys I'm new and well I have a slight problem, I'm attempting to grow mushrooms so far I've succeeded I'm working with the pf-tech and well the jars I inoculated have some large visible micelia colonizing the substrate, I used coffe grownds n flour seeds, the problem is that the substrate is drying out rapidly and I can tell this because it's visible and I'm also keeping a picture log as reference can any one help? I invested all I had on this and this is going to be my semester project by the way I'm a biology student at UACJ and desired to experiment with mushrooms I chose phsicoactive mushrooms because I like them, thank you I hope someone can help out. 

After i inoculate the jars do i cover the holes or leave them free to breath?

Hi everybody I'm new to all this and allready having a problem .I can't found vermiculite no where so I wander is there any thing else that I can use beside vermiculite to make the cake. Please reply ASAP.
