I know not all cultures are compatible, but that is what testing and experimenting is for.  It would take many many people, or one mad scientist with a big labratory, and a lot of time, but it is doable!  It happens in nature all the time.  That's the reason there is so many different types of mushrooms in the world.  Scary part is testing them.  Could inadvertinely make a new deadly poisonous one.  LOL

Alright.  I was thinking make a clone of one strain (turn in to mycellium) Like Cyanescens... then a clone of a cubensis....put the mycellium in close proximity.  I thought up theories all day at work.  I looked this up, apparently this is how they are doing it with some commercial mushrooms.  Some one beat me to it.  Probably some where on this site some one is talking about this, but im short on time.  I'm going to do some experiments for sure though.  Make my own mushroom!  haha.  I think the isolation (cloning) would help, because you could keep trying different clones with each other, and since its a cloned mycellium, when you find the two that work together, since genetics are random this way ensures when you find what works, you can keep the exact combination.  I was thinking Since psilocybe cyanescens doesn't like growing in doors, that if I went through enough random genetics I could eventually find the right DNA that would make it grow indoors.  By combining two totally unique sets of DNA, it would give the best of both worlds in theory.  High Potency of cyanescens, plus the ease of growth of cubensis.  I would love to see future devolopments in this area.  About time we were able to grow a mutant Liberty cap on cakes, or potent psilocybes.  Plant growers do it no problem.  I am sure with enough experiments we could come up with some good combinations.
