This thread might be as dead as Steve Irwin in a tank of stingrays, but the time and detail put into this tek is much appreciated. Even the reaction to make CO2, although not difficult, is indicative of the experience and experiments you've lived with while always trying to improve. Impressive tek, and thank you for good information.

wow, I've never heard of using CO2 for storage, simple yet brilliant. I shall have to try this.
A lot of what you guys do is unique. You should spread your teks around more.

I don't think I've ever seen so much put into just one tek. Very well written.

First of all, great Tek. I appreciate helpful information and instructions. You were very thorough.
Alright, straight to the point, then. I would like to use whole brown rice as a bulk substrate to make a bed, using this Tek to prepare my jars.. Would this be possible? If so, is it not recommended? I would also like to do a "grain-to-grain" transfer to other jars. Any help is appreciated. Feel free to private message me.

The co2 is not for the growing part of the mushrooms, it's for the storage part. Oxygen causes the actives in the mushrooms to degrade, so if you store them with co2 instead, they will degrade slower if at all.

This is a nice interesting post, however it seriously needs updated. theres quite a lot of old amd some wrong information.
Particularly about if you have lots of condensation on the walls, you have too much humidity.
Firsts, condensation does not mean high humidity.
And you cant have too much humidity, even with cased substrates

I don't understand why people don't use this tek. It's alot easier to prepare than WBS or rye all the soaking, simmering, straining..
