Wouldn't this work without Karo? Can't you just use regular sterile water, like in a Grain Liquid Culture? That would save you that step. You could use honey, in it's place, I bet. Still, can't this be done with good ole fashioned water?

Could you do this with a cake that has already been birthed and fruited? Cut the cake in half and used the non air exposed inards, etc...

yes, it would be much better if someone sterilized the water/karo in the syringe and then stuck it into the jar.

couldnt you just mix up the karo/water suck it in the the syringe, then pc it for 25 minutes?  that way u could save time and cut down on the ammount of places u have to stick that needle.
