it is also possible that the underground mycelial network had been infiltrated by a poisonous mushroom, as death caps are like to do. the poisons from such mushrooms will affect the body and be urinated out, leaving few toxins which will still, however, cause paralysis or death. as the man urinated himself before carking it, it can be safely assumed that he would have released some number of the toxins pre-mortem.
