I have stored mushrooms for 2 months, and they were fine. You'll need to make sure that they look healthy. Often they get "fuzzy feet," which in my experience cloning mushrooms is a good sign that they are alive and healthy. If they are turning into black mush, I would toss them regardless of how old they are. If you plan to make a tea with them, you can keep them in there a little longer. In general, tea is a better storage method because you can freeze it. I hear that mushrooms can get botulism and other toxic bacteria to infect them, so always error on the side of caution. In general though, they are not too different from your grocery store mushrooms. Often those don't even get to your store until a week after they are picked.
If in doubt, create a thread and post pictures.
