Pasteurized substrates kill most dominant and nasty bacteria that can cause contamination later during colonization periods, but it leaves behind microbes that can actually help aid in it later, and even fight off any other possible contaminating bacteria. Generally, sterilized substrates are far more susceptible to contamination since contact with any bacteria could lead to a bad growth. That's why it's important to keep your substrates near about 170

You can also bulk BRF Cakes. Crushed. sliced or whole. Mostly a gateway to grain spawn.
