Hey there OP! I have been off this site for years, growing on my own with the help of the FB group. Now that i'm back, I see a LOT of older guys using older methods that, while they do work, I personally think are outdated and over engineered. Not that growing that way is wrong, I just think that there is a more streamline way. Methods evolve over time as we all learn, experiment, and share our experiences. This is the whole point of the forum :)
Your substrate looks good, proud that youve gotten little mushies! Typically when I harvest I will take evreything off the sub at once to the sub "knows" its time to start preparing for the next f lush. So I would personally remove it, as it looks done growing (doesnt look to me like the cap is going to open up), its taking the energy the sub needs to consolidate anyway imo
What was your coir to spawn ratio? You can never add too much spawn.. in my experience having fewer stronger tubs is easier to manage than more tubs that are weaker and may struggle.
I also have never used lights in my set ups, ambient light from the room or window is plenty. I also, in the last few months, have been skipping the consolidating period with my monotubs and dubtubs.. straight into fruiting conditions with micropore tape or filter patches. No sealing up the holes and keeping in darkness..
Hope this helps! mushies have a strong drive to grow, dont stress too much and trust the process. its all a learning experience

Ok, thank you for the advice! You are absolutely right it wasn't in the dark long enough. I didn't know this was that important. The loner also turned out to be an abortion. It didn't continue to grow and the mycelium started to recleim it. By now the tub is full of fruiting bodies. Do you have a link explaining the setup for the 2 blue spectrum bright lights and reflectors? Thx in advance!

I dont think you left it in the dark long enough and thats why it started fruiting. You're pinset probably won't be the best unless you put a 2 blue spectrum bright lights with reflectors around them.
