Congrats, you survived what i consider a high dose and you came back with nuggets of positive insight. A few things I'd like to share with you that might help in the future:
- mushrooms have a vasoconstrictor effect, they make high blood pressure worse, so on 1 gram things weren't too bad but at 3 grams it kicked your blood pressure way up, and that's not a very nice feeling. If you have hypertension stick to the lower doses. You can also do some research on the amino acid citrullline. Just be mindful that high doses will always result in raised blood pressure.
- respect that shrooms are not about a race to enlightenment, rather, view it as a journey on a slow train through the wilderness with lots to see and experience. Small doses are just as powerful as big ones once you find your optimal dose - which could take 6 months of trial and error (don't rush it).
- you might want to train yourself to go into a deeply relaxed state with the help of such herbals as mugwort or passionflower tea or other mellowing herbals. Give them a try and use in conjunction with your shrooms. That way you don't need large doses.
- microdosing is magic - 0.05 - 0.3 grams of shrooms on a regular basis, daily or every second day. This pays off over time shifting stuck brain patterns, do some reading and you will understand its benefits. I use from 0.1 to 0.8 gr and sit back to enjoy the ride. It provides insight without the pain of higher doses. Many will disagree but at my age I don't need more than a tickle to send me in the right direction.
- getting high on every trip is not what shrooms are about, take your time and find your optimal dose and allow things to come to you rather than force it.
I admire your spirit, go slowly and gently.
