Incredible detail, it's like it hit a 'clear cmos' button in your brain.  These things are truly magical, peace be with you, brother.

As a combat vet myself, your story is one of stressful situations and growth through endurance. At one point you mention the trip changed when you changed the music to metal, I wonder if that is a correlation to the mood.

Regardless, I enjoyed the read, especially the part about rebuilding your brain and memories. Interested to reading a follow up on how you are doing now.

Thanks for sharing.

Glad you didn't end up to psych ward, and more importantly that you didn't do anything wrong with your gun. Crazy gun laws over there.

Thank you for this trip report, the effort you put into it really shows. Sounds like one of those trips that takes a few months (at least) to really process. Take your time, and much love!

Thank you for reporting your trip, it was well written and riveting throughout. I'm so glad you made it to the top of the mountain, having to go back and do it again to complete the climb would have been a bit of a  bummer. Your gf is something else, she is a real keeper. Take care and know that you are loved.
