Yes it is ganoderma lucidum. I know this because I live in tucson, I have found them growing on tree roots, lower trunk and stumps in high humidity areas such as apartments with grass. I wasn't sure at first because I thought how could a highly medicinal mushroom grow in the desert? Upon research, there are many articles about common fungal problems with trees in tucson, and it specifically states in many that ganoderma lucidum is a well known tree parasite in tucson and arizona in general. It gets into the roots and will eventually kill the tree.
