Thank you for sharing your experience. It gave me chills!

A couple months ago I ate 3g of dried mushrooms (not sure of the type - they were long and white) and had a very similar experience to the one you describe. At some moment I was out of my body in the cosmos, feeling as a god-like being looking down. Then I suddenly was shot back through a beam of light into my body. I remember opening my eyes and examining my arms for a few minutes, wondering why I was transplanted into this primitive bag of meat in a random place. All my life and the planet itself felt so inconsequential and silly. Human interactions and cultures seemed primitive and unevolved. I felt that everything was fake and I was just realizing it now, but it was so obvious. How could I not have seen or noticed true reality until now? I remember saying to myself, "how can I ever go back knowing what I know now?".

Since the experience I've passively been wondering if I'm actually just playing a character in a computer simulation or model and wont know it until this body dies and I return to my true form.

Damn man that was a fun read. I'm glad you shared. I love that feeling of one with the universe, that it is not me, I am part of all. I'm not religious or believe in God, however, when I feel those very deep feelings of connection to the universe it brings an inner peace so strong that for a while I am in total bliss and humbleness.
