I have had similar experiences like you with the Sci Fi dreams of strange spacecraft, and had my first UFO sighting in Elementary school at 11 years old.About 10 years ago I decided to experiment with Telepathy and started sending messages out into the ether's to achieve a Physical encounter with a friendly ET.......Nothing happened for about 2 months so I let that experiment slip my mind.I planned a camping trip to a remote Island, I enjoy to trip on ,and decided to try the telepathy experiment one more time.[meditate to a deep level and then form a loving emotion, and then beam out my intention to commune with a friendly ET].....................This time it worked.I saw a wormhole quickly form in the evening sky, my first night of camping, and saw a small object spit out of the end of it...........The next morning I was no longer alone on the beach.I spent the next two days with this wonderful Female entity."She said she was from the "Sirius Star Nation."...............It was the strangest and most delightful thing that has ever happened to me in all my 65 years....If you are dreaming about them then you probably have the same close connection that I have with them.....The most advanced species of ET's ,observing us, are highly telepathic and might come to see you ,if you ask nicely and don't show them any fear.You won't know who they are at first until they check you out.When they feel comfortable with an encounter they might approach..............My contact was an attractive female blond hair ,light blue eyes,about 5'3 inches tall,slim build.She didn't reveal herself at first but just walked back and forth about 75 feet in front of me on the beach.We were the only people for miles around and I called her over to me.The rest of the story is too strange and personal to tlak about here but she got into my mind and I found out how much smarter she is.They have technology that makes star wars seem almost prehistoric.She showed me images of Ships that think,Androids that are telepathic, replicators that can form any object in seconds from any raw material.She didn't tell me her age but she acted a lot older and wiser than me, but appeared to be in her mid 20's.....Please try to repeat my experiment and discover your own space family.They won't come to you unless you ask because they respect our free will.[They know all about magic mushrooms and she  talked about them as a way for humans to increase their mental and psychic  faculties.]........These encounters are becoming more common now that more and more people are requesting them.They are called contact of the "Fifth kind"It is contact initiated by us instead of them.Show no fear, and only love, and you will be fine.Just remember that you will see their thoughts while they scan your in communication and they think many times faster.Tell them to please slow everything down, so you aren't overwhelmed like I was.They don't have a lot of experience with face to face meetings so go easy on them, and ask for them to speak verbally instead of ,mind to mind, like they prefer......Telepathy is a strange, beautiful, form of communication because you can observe their thoughts just as easily as they see ours.
