Hello,
Brand new at this and very excited! I injected 2 grow bags a week ago today. One of them has some growth at the back of the bag, opposite side of the injection port. I made the picture of it my profile pic in case I can%u2019t add it to this post. I just wanted to see what your opinion is on the picture%u2014does it look like mycelium or something else? Thank you so much %uD83D%uDE0A

I need help! I have used the mason jar corn technique and I have questions regarding PB and PSE in jars? Do they need more moisture in the mason jar than the GT? My husband is having a hard time with these two strains. Thanks

I just bought a premade sterile rye spawning bag online, and was wondering if I should worry about the internal moisture or if there is anything I should do to this bag to prep it before I inoculate it... Sorta a green horn here...

How do you know if you need to add adtional water to spawn bags. Mine seem awfully dry I live in Arizona where the humidity is low. Unfortunately bought a Midwest grow kit 2  5 grain spawn bags. Injected both with 7 ccs syringe spore.  Bought the kit to try to learn how to do on my own. IF POSSIBLE HOW TO TELL IF A BAG NEEDS MORE WATER ADDED TO HELP WITH MYCELLIUM GROWTH. BAGS JUST SEEM DRYER THAN BAGS ON GOOGLE ALSO ITS ONLY BEEN 3 DAYS SO MAYBE IM JUST TRIPPIN.  no pun intended just want my stuff to not completely be a waste since I already paid for it all.

Hi all :) I'm just starting my first Fungi grow. The question that has me is how moist should your White Millet be Because I pressure cooker 2 batches of grains but both came out different. The first one was in mushrooms bag and it looked about right from what I seen on GordoTek, and now it's been 5 full days already and I am seeing white but it looks like mold %uD83E%uDD14, I did inoculate straight from the spore syringe. The second batch was in pint size jars, and those ones look two dry to apply any moisture/H2O for the mycelium to form, the Millet moves around as you move the jars, well at least the top half of the grains in the jars move, TOO DRY?

How can you distinguish growing mycelium versus mold of all kinds?

I've ordered my 1st grow kit from Shroom Supply and am planning to inject the grain bags tomorrow.
What is the ideal temperature for spawing B and Golden Teacher? I'm guessing I need to run a space heater to keep the temp that high.
Is a humidifier necessary for this stage?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
