It's possible that I had a mental breakdown.  I mean, to go further on this, I basically did have a mental breakdown.  The point of the document is to extract the wisdom from the experience, not to resort to ad hominem attacks.  As for whether or not it was acid, we'll never know.  Lastly, the police officers were actually empathetic to my situation, and it hasn't had any effect on my medical record.
