I had a trip similar to this, I died and relived my life in reverse. I went to hell and that is where I felt the loneliness, but I was able to turn the bad trip around, I let go of all the negative energies inside of me I stripped myself of all my flaws, and was able to escape the lonely hell and reach heaven. From there it all went up hill and I was exploring eternity and living endless lives.  Maybe you were on the way there but for some reason your trip did not last to that point of getting past the loneliness.

It's like Otis Redding sang: "this loneliness won't leave me alone"
