Perpetually Amazed

I am new here, so I hope this question isn't offensive. I see asterisks after several of these items but I don't see any footnotes associated with them. Does anyone know where I can find (or can anyone provide) that information?
Thank you in advance!

is this list for all year-round? I am worried that when I go to the sites there will be nothing and my heart will truly be shattered.

We need to update all references to North American Gymnopilus
junonius. I've found Gymnopilus subspectabilis in both Maryland and Washington DC. Gymnopilus speciosissimus definitely exists in Maryland.

I live in Wisconsin and I know that the season is over. However, I want to start hunting in the spring and possibly grow indoors over this winter. I live in Southeast Wisconsin. Where do I look this spring and do you have tips to start a grow operation?
