i had a similar experience taking three hits of supposed "four way". nobody told me it was four way until after i came to =P naked in my livingroom wrestling my dad with potting soil thrown all over the room =D
i've tripped since but always with much more respect.

In my opinion, flashbacks are just a form of HPPD or PTSD, the brain is easily powerful enough to recreate an experience you had before if the curcumstances are right for it, maybe something like stress, or it could even be random.
For example, i trip a lot, the HPPD i have is seeing faces in my peripherals, but the faces aren't floating in the air, it's more like i see faces in objects around the room. stuff around the room basically looks like its alive for a second and winks at me in the corner of my eye, it does not bother me, and happens a lot of the time when im thinking about the HPPD or just really baked, and stops when i'm not thinking about it, or not baked..
And i had a similar relatable situation when i was really young (age 4-5) but not psychedelic related. It was a strange sort of
agoraphobia that kept me up at night because when i would close my eyes and try to sleep, i would imagine a small ball in the center of my vision, and then the space around it would expand to an incredible size and it made me feel incredibly uncomfortable from all the space... Yeah i know, its weird and doesn't really make much sense, but it happened a lot back then and made it very difficult for me to fall asleep. But this also would only happen if i started thinking about it.. If it was not on my mind it would not happen and i would be able to sleep easy..
this never happens to me nowadays as i cant remember exactly how it started in the first place, happened, or looked, but i've always felt defeated by it because i couldn't "go with it."
anyways, all im saying is we really dont really understand how the mind works in this way, and it could just mean the brain is functioning how it should to recreate things u've experience for whatever reason, who knows.

Just because you haven't experienced something doesn't mean it doesn't exist as i thought all shroomerites would understand. Flashbacks do indeed exist (not talking about HPPD) as i have had two flashbacks. The first flashback I had disoriented me so much I fell over and smashed my face off the light switch on the wall and bled all over the place. I was pale as a ghost for 20 minutes afterwards. Not that flashbacks will deter me from tripping.

Inteesting story.
Sounds like LSD gave you a taste of how good a peak can be, but beat you down for taking too much and abusing it.

I'm positive it was acid. High doses can cause intense hallucinations.
Flashbacks are bullshit haha. The only flashbacks I have are minor trails (I constantly see them, but I don't really notice them anymore since I'm so used to seeing them all he time). Lights also seem a lots brighter and more "sparkly" (example: traffic lights have a very starry look to them, especially at night).

Wow! U went to prison using acid without going to prision!U sure it was acid and not some RC?Some psychedelics have a mind of their own.I advise u to lay off acid for a long time and take lower dose of other stuff. U could get flashbacks..
