Hi, this is my first post and I live in the nw corner of Georgia on top is lookout mtn. I do not think all of these are Amanita Muscaria but they are all growing near conifers. Could someone help with the ID? Most do not have a short nor do they have the bulbous bottom.

Hello
This is really useful information. It seems that I have found my first Amanita Muscaria near Milton ON.
This is my first hunting experience and I am glad that I joined Shroomery.
Thank you so much.
Few characteristics of the specie I found today.
1.yellow-orange parabolic cap (like half ball) with white or mild yellowish spots (warts) if I am using correct terminology
2. Slightly thick stem which gets bigger ( small ball like or egg like shape). Colour of stem is pale yellowish or off white
3. Guild seems closed and in off white color. Also guild is covered by a off white veil which is attached to the edge of the underneath of the cap.
4. Because of the veil, the stem and guild contact is not properly visible but it looks like the stem goes deep in.
5. Found growing them lonely near a tree. The place I visited was a hiking trail, conservation area which connects to Niagara escarpment

Thank you so much for all the work you did looking up Amanitas and look alikes.
I find it pretty easy to tell the difference between them in my region but even still it's good to know how to tell besides just warts and color.
Awesome post! :)
