4 gram trip.
I've tripped a lot.
This trip took place last Saturday, the weekend of the heat wave in California. My girl was home with me, and we just hung around inside the apartment all day. I ate roughly 4 dried and powdered grams with lemon juice. I hadn't eaten anything that day before the mushrooms, so the come up was really quick, it hit me in 20 minutes and slowly got better from there.
I was very positive before the trip, I woke up in a great mood and told myself that this was going to be the greatest day of my life.
In the apartment the windows and blinds were open, and it was very bright in the room. One of the first things I noticed was that the light reflected off of everything in the room, every color influencing another, causing patterns to form; constantly shifting and taking over nearly every surface of the apartment. The wall next to me was breathing heavily under the crown molding, the sheets I was laying on were slowly crawling around me.
I noticed the cracks and spackle marks on the ceiling, they all turned light pastel colors: green, blue and purple with wispy white strands pulsing around them. I stared at this without blinking for as long as I could, and my perception then seemed to shift up, much like if I had lifted my head up off the bed a foot or two. The patterns on the ceiling then became three-dimensional, dripping down, the white wispy parts looked as if they were being blown from the breeze coming through the window.
I closed my eyes and when I did came the normal mushroom CEV's, complex patterns that look to be organic, moving with bright vivid colors that feel alive. I enjoyed this for some time while listening to whatever was on iTunes.
Walking to the kitchen I couldn't help but laugh because I was so happy, I hadn't eaten enough mushrooms in a long time to get such great visuals. My girlfriend was washing some dishes so she could make some food, and I watched out the kitchen window as the shiny cars passed and people walked on the sidewalk.
I went back to sit on the edge of the bed, and noticed the carpet. The sun was now coming through the window, illuminating the carpet around me. Diamond shaped patterns of yellows and reds slowly moved up the carpet towards me, and then the strangest thing happened, the patterns became a part of me. There is no way for me to really describe it, but I closed my eyes and I could still see the same patterns, and I felt as if I had become a part of it. I had a vivid daydream that I was in a jungle, and there were drums playing and I felt as if I was a part of another world for some time.
The rest of the trip is a little blurry, I ended up watching a movie and smoking some pot which made the trip hard to remember. I thought about life a lot and how I could make things better, and found the motivation to accomplish the things I‘ve been putting off, and that has stuck with me every day since the trip.
I can easily say this was one of the greatest days of my life, and mushrooms will forever be my favorite psychedelic.
