DayTripper Sundae

Yes, one tasty ice cream ingestion!



MUSHROOM SUNDAE! (totally not gross) Makes ingestion easy and tasty!

Utensils

  • One coffee grinder or food processor with a setting for FINE grating
  • An Ice Cream Scoop or Spoon
  • Bowl or cup

Ingredients

  • Ice Cream (your favorite flavor, but make sure it goes well with chocolate, caramel or butterscotch sauce)
  • Coolwhip (yes, it has to be coolwhip not the kind from a can)
  • Nuts (if ya like em)
  • Marschino cherries
  • Sprinkles
  • Sauce Hershey's Chocolate, Caramel topping, or Butterscotch (NOTHING HOT, all of this has to be able to be squeezed from the bottle.)
  • serving of shrooms

Preparation

  • Grind your mushies to a fine consistency using your coffee grinder
  • Spoon out a generous serving of Coolwhip into a cup use about 1/2 a cup  Pour half of your shroom powder into the coolwhip and mix.  The coolwhip has a thicker consistency than canned whipped cream so it will still stay fluffy and not turn to liquid.
  • Spoon out your ice crem into your bowl  Sprinkle the rest of your  mush powder on top.
  •  add sauce
  • Add your cool whip mixture to the top.
  • top with sprinkles, nuts and a cherry.

This is sooooo yummy. My only warning is to LIMIT how much icecream you use. Only use about a half a cup -a cup of ice cream. None of this heaping helping stuff... Trust me, a little goes a long way. This is a very rich desert.

I wanted to edit this to include a note about the sprinkles or nuts. Don't forget to add something crunchy to the top, as this helps to hide the weid texture of the mushies...which is why sprinkles and nuts are a MUST on the list.
