grief

21 years ago when i was in my mid twenties and my brother the same age, we decided to do mushrooms because they seemed like the safest step up from grass. Little did i know this was gonna be the worst day of my life.
We ate an unknown amount, and after a little while i started to feel weak and like i was getting really stoned. As our hallucinations began we decided to go for a walk to this little bridge in this really green area we like to smoke at. We arrived at the bridge only to find we couldnt smoke because there was a weird looking man looking out over the water with his dog, both seemed non threatening. As the shrooms started really hitting me as i was able to read every one of this mans thoughts, and he had waves of color in his hair. As we walked passed him, me in the lead, i heard a shot ring out, and my brothers groan and heard his body hit the ground as the man scampered off. At first i thought it was the hallucinatons so i said "Hey Jon, youll never guess what just happened" but he wouldnt respond as he lay face first in the dirt. I tried to wake him for 15 mintues, only realizing that it wasnt a hallucnation, but the terrible truth. i couldnt do to the police tripping like i was, so i pulled him into a secluded area and cried as i watched the dark clouds forming in my head, overhead. I was tormented by terrible hallucinations and demonic thoughts about losing my beloved brother. I remember looking into his distant eyes and seeing his whole life, as he was a kid, and as he grew with me.
To make a long story short, the man was caught, and i admitted to the police what we had been doin in order to prevent suspicion of me doing the crime.
