Sleeping Bear Dunes

This was my second time eating mushrooms, and I was camping with a group of close friends last summer at the Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan (an absolutely beautiful area!) About six of us took the shrooms before leaving to go to a dune viewing area. I could tell they were starting to set in when the pattern on the car seat in front of me started to warp and breathe. I was enjoying these visuals when we finally arrived to the dunes, and I was starting to get that giggly stoned-feeling.
We walked on a short path and then made it to the viewing area, and my breath was taken away- the dune is about 400 feet above the surface of lake michigan and it is very steep. The sky was blue and the sun was making the lake sparkle like diamonds- but they appeared to be all different vivid colors that were moving and changing. It was probably the most amazing thing I've ever seen. We decided to run down the dune, which was so fun because you could run a few steps and then jump about 10 feet.
At the bottom of the dune it was like a secret paradise, with super clear water. We went swimming- being underwater on shrooms is so awesome! I wasn't tripping too hard, but enough that I was having a great time. After a few hours we climbed back up, which was extremely exhausting, but it was so worth it. In the car ride back we rode with the windows and sunroof down, listening to happy, fun music and singing, and it was the happiest, craziest ride of my life. Overall, the trip (not camping trip, mushroom trip) was a beautiful experience that truly made me appreciate being alive and made me fall in love with nature more than ever before.
