Do I need a pressure cooker?
You don't need a pressure cooker when sterilizing PF jars, or when sterilizing boilable instruments such as syringes.
You don't need a pressure cooker when sterilizing , you can get away with steam sterilizing in a pot with a tight fitting lid. Although the chances of contamination are higher.
But if you want to use whole grains, or agar - you will need a pressure cooker.
