extreme confusion

First and foremost I would like to clarify the rumor that it is impossible to eat too much ‘shrooms.

First and foremost I would like to clarify the rumor that it is impossible to eat too much ‘shrooms. It is possible and I have eaten what I (and my friends) think is “too much.”

I have tripped on shrooms on four separate occasions before that fateful night on October, 1998. Every time I shroomed, I ate 4-gram doses(1/8 ounce), had a great time and tripped for about 6 to 10 hours each time. This time I was caught off guard…

Three of my friends and I were sitting around their apartment, thinking of something to do to celebrate our “Fall Holiday”, which is a day off from classes for no reason. Then, my friend, call him J1, came over with about 15 grams (1/2 ounce) of dried shrooms. They looked extremely dank, with lots of blue color towards the bottom of the stems. J1 and I each ate about 4 grams of ‘em and my other friends, J2 and C each ate 2 grams. Oh yeah, we also took 3 500mg vitamin C tablets. We did this around 9:00pm.

Before they kicked in, we decided to head over to our friend’s apt to look for J2’s ring he ha left the night before. I remember arriving at their front door and saying something like “I feel nauseous.” Now, I’ve never had any problems with shromms before, but these were making me a little sick. Then it hit me. But everything seemed to going according to plan. I was seeing the usual hallucinations: a rainbow of color around street lights, stretchy smiles, moving patterns on carpet, etc.

We went to the video store and it really started to get intense. I remember looking at the cover of a video game, Mega Man legends, and it was going wild. The carpet in the store was moving and things were starting to get hairy; but I could handle it. This was fun.

When we came back to my friend’s apt, the trip was getting a little out of control. We, the tripping four, went into J2’s room. He has magazines that cover his entire room, very trippy indeed. Of course they also cover the door into and out of his room, including the knob. I thought that we weren’t going to be able to get out of there!

“This is getting too intense”, I said and I left to the living room and sat on the couch. Someone put in Tombstone and I sat there, trying to get a hold on what was going on around me. I watched the entire movie with J1, who seems to doing all right. I was stating to see some very intense visuals. Trails galore would follow just about anything that was moving in front of me. At first I though it was cool because I never got trails like those before. Then it got to the point where it was annoying, but I laughed it off with J1.

This is where it gets really interesting, so bear with me. J1 left to his girl friend’s around 1:30. J2 and C were going strong, but C laid in her bed and I think she feel asleep. J2 was tripping hard and said that I must be out of my mind (because I took twice as much). He was dead right! I couldn’t get a hold of myself. It reached the limit to where I couldn’t understand anything that I normally could.
I could not hear any nouns, everything was refered to as "these", or "those." AHHH!!!!

I remember thinking that I had the power to predict events that were going to happen minutes before they actually did. This was neat at first, but it got really scary. J2 turned off the light to the fish tank and the whole room changed. J2 went to see C and then went to bed. I was there on the couch all alone. I don’t know how long I sat there, thinking about all types of weird thoughts. I was getting some strange audio hallucinations, which sounded like classical music, but so loud and clear. No stereo was on.

Then J1’s roommate, J3 and his friend, D came back from the bar at about 2:30. They were drunk and were trying to talk to me and ask me how my trip was going. I couldn’t reply. They were asking me the easiest questions too, like “what’s your name?.” I couldn’t answer. Then I realized. I’m trapped. I trapped in some strange dimension. I kid you not, that was my exact reasoning. All the while, classical music played in my head. I was insane. I wanted, more than anything, to see J2, or any other tripping person, but I couldn’t get up. So, I decided to try and sleep. That didn’t happen any time soon. I was awake until who knows when.

I woke up the next day, so relived that I was sane again. I slept the entire day. I haven’t shroomed since, but I’ve been looking for some recently and will make sure to be a little more careful, watch what I eat (if their blue eat only 2) , and trip with one or two other people. That’s the way to go.

Sorry if you thought this report was a little negative, but I had to warn those of thinking to try a high dose trip: be cautious. I’ll definitely write about my good experiences. Shrooms are awesome.
